Nut cracker

Today Olivia and me went back to the school, It is always difficult the first day, at least for me, to get back to the routines. I was very slow through my paints.

Meanwhile, Gosha is still looking for a job, today she started to have few good answers, I am sure very soon she will get what she wants. While she is still fighting for a job she controls her distress cracking nuts, which also I appreciate.

Poisoned gift

Today I did the relay race around the hospitals, Since 9.00AM I was in the Royal Free Hospital to do another CT scan, now we are all hoping and waiting for the good news, It must be! Afterwards I could not breath, I run to the other ending of London to have the blood test done in the Barnet Hospital. Only around 1.00PM I could relax and I did it. I went to the chapel in the hospital and I enjoyed very much a very intimate mass, only with 4 persons, the priest mention and prayed during the mass for my CT scan results to come out as I want, and he even invited me to do one of the readings from the Bible. It sound a small thing but it had a lot of significance for me :)

This days I have been going through a book that Justyna offered to me, it consists in exercises and charades to exercise my rusty brain, I confess that the idea was brilliant and I had a great time in the first days, but when I started to share the exercises with my Justyna I have become depressive :) What was for me an insoluble charade for Justyna turned out to be a piece of cake, When I was stared minutes and hours to sort out a problem, Justyna needed a minute, this even in my field, maths.

Silly sausage

Last year was very dry and warm as I do not remember, though my memory it is not the same as well. The thermometer kept in mild temperatures for the time of the year and the rain did not show up this Winter, until today. This beginning of the year the clouds melted in thousands of gallons of water, opened all the valves, It rain so much that even at home, specially in the extension the water leaked, I needed to clean around.

Only today we found that Olivia only starts her school on Thursday, so she still has few more days to play with Gosha, Justyna's friend and our guest. I have the feeling that Olivia is more happy with herself, she is constantly laughing and in a good mood. She is now calling me Salsisha Pateta, due to my silly being.

Winter Wonderland

Since few years ago there was a promise in the air, We said to Olivia that we would go one day to the Fan Park in Hyde Park, but for different reasons we never come to this Park. Today with a dry weather and some energies left, we decided to go to the centre and explore the Park. There are plenty of entertaining, carousels, food, In a Oktoberfest style. But as I expected the prices are very much on the top, very expensive, We had a budget to spent and, if it was not the delicious chips, we would have not had any deviation from the budget. Olivia has already some Accountant vein like daddy.

Right Will

The first day of the 2012 we wanted to do a day of Pyjama's party, but in the afternoon I betrayed the initiative as I needed to go out to collect something for Olivia. Everybody was frustrated with one more bad movement from me, the usual :)

Probably for the first time, I was already in a New Year without knowing and to be honest it did not hurt me. It is on this moments that we feel that we would be happier if we could release ourselves more often from this conventions. Anyway, I was thinking through myself why are we giving so much importance to the New Year, as when it arrives it is already older than the one before, and of course is New but always makes us more older.

In the retreat last evening the head Monk of the Monastery said a lot of wise things, but there is a couple of them that I still rethink, It is when it comes the end of the year that normally the people tend to do their balance of the year, looking for the good and to the bad things from that time, but normally we keep it within us and do not let it go, do not helping to end the suffering. I followed this advise and I listed my year balance from 2011 and expectations for 2012 and just let it go in the bonfire placed in the Monastery. I came to the Buddhist monastery and today I went to the catholic church, but unfortunately and I know, even with a more restrained Life there is no guarantees of nothing, to be happy or to have a place in the Heaven. We know that some of us will have great days and moments this year but also we know that we all will experience also horrible days, some will lose jobs, will lose friends. All this we cannot ignore, it is only a wise and right attitude which let us to be free from those attachments and then would help us to overcome the bad moments. It is all this, my challenge and my work, to know how to deal with those bad things.

Last night was definitely a dream night, I found a lot of Peace and calm, I hope this will last for few more days. Justyna and Olivia had they Reveillon at home with Justyna's friends and Nikodem, It was not perfect but the most important is the year ahead.

2012, not just one more year

We are all prepared for 2012, Full of positiveness, hopes and of course dressing blue underwear, I also will not forget to come through in the new year with the Right foot, It is this little details that will make the change :)

Justyna will be at home with Olivia, with her two polish friends and doing babysitting to Nikodem. I will be in a Buddhist temple, I really look forward to be again in the monastery, looking for Peace and praying for everything.

In 2012 I was thinking what could be my resolutions, definitely I need to command better the Polish language and of course I will keep doing all the effort to become a healthier person.

French plaits

We had a big plan today, to go to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, We even had already left home prepared to have a day out, But firstly already in the station, we realised that there was not trains to the centre of London, we would need to take an underground replacement, which I am sure it would take us hours to our destiny. Secondly, it was also raining what would not help us to enjoy the day where we were going, with carousels and wheels and lastly because of my back pain. Because of the pain and tiredness I was happy with the two first conditions, and then easier to convince Justyna and Olivia to leave the idea of the Park to another day, and today just go home. Girls were not totally convinced, so they decided to go to the cinema and myself I started my way to home, but after they changed my mind, we thought would be a good idea to go for a tea in Shubhi's house. Fortunately she was at home and the afternoon was a delight. There was no Winter Wonderland but instead there was French Plaits for every one.
