Fishy world

We are in the countryside and with that all our routines changed, for Olivia the first thing in the morning is to follow her grand father and to pick up fresh eggs from hens, Justyna is getting around with the house wife duties but in a proper countryside house, and myself I confess that I am forgotten in the bed until late in the morning. It will be difficult to get back to our city routines.

In my research I am also finding out the most odd things, Poland is not known for any tradition in the Fishy thing, at least was not for me until now. But surprisingly I am finding that on the table Polish treat fish very well, almost as if I was in Portugal.

Spoiled baby

Olivia has been completely spoiled by her grand-mother. If Olivia cries grand mother is there. About this, I am sure Olivia does not have anything against. This is the Time for Olivia but even more for the grand-mother, and because the time flies and unfortunately we live faraway from here all the seconds are precious for all. We will be one more week in Poland and this last days belongs to Olivia and Asia. This evening grand mother went alone with Olivia to her cousin Eliza, leaving us alone :)

Aurora Borealis

It is truth that we do not have many ways to transport ourselves around, There is no underground, buses and even no car, but yesterday we gain a new mean of transport to take us through the Mazurek's land. We also can relax and go and visit the family. Yesterday it was Olivia that went to spend some time with her little cousin, Nadia.

Sailing

Today I was very happy to find a bit of Portugal around here, I found a boat where I can take all of us for a trip. This afternoon it was only to get a taste and to show to the Polish the art of sailing, but tomorrow I will take them to the deep waters, there is also the forecasting of a storm around here.

Wet Day

I had my first Wet Day, this celebration happens always in the day after Easter. Today we are allowed to wet the fellows and to have fun, as if a Carnival in Portugal. Yesterday I met also for the first time other part of Justyna's family.

Today we spent some time with Przybylski family, I felt as if we were all again together in London.

Domingo Pascoal

The Easter started very early here, It was 8.30 and we were all up already to the Easter breakfast. I guess this is a minor sacrifice comparing with other ones. I am still struggling with the Polish communication, at least I am left with the pleasure of good food on the table. I was also happy to see that the Lamb was saved for this time, not been sacrificed as the tradition. Not only me, but I am sure the two calves were even more happy with that.

Yesterday we met again Kasia Rafi and Zozia, We did not have much time together but we are still planning to meet again tomorrow. Justyna went for a night out with her childhood girl friends, and myself went to meet Rafi to watch an intense local derby

Easter Eve

The tradition is to be repeated over and over, and today, Easter Eve we went with the food looking for the blessing from the priest, who comes to all the small villages around. Here in Wrabczyn there is a small chapel where all the people gather and wait for the priest. It was a little ceremony but very worthy.

The storks already arrived in this parallels but they should regret to come so early, as it is still very cold here. Poor birds, if they could forecast the weather they would be still in their summer resorts

It is already smelling and smiling the Easter :)
