Love and hate

As I forecast we will never missed too much England at least its weather, because here over Holland the English weather is the King. Today was almost all day very grey what did not allow the kids to go out. Even this weather invited the kids also to play hardly with each other, Between Francisco and Olivia it is notorious a relation of Love and Hate, easily they are kissing each other or in the next minute are fighting.

Portuguese not a Dutch

We are still taking the most of Holland. In fact even if I do not like to speak at a hot moment, but me and Justyna have the idea that this is not just a beautiful country, but we could see ourselves living here. It looks a very friendly place to families or even to elderly people. What most impresses me is considering how rich the country is, is the lack of ostentation showed off by the population, the cars are small and the bicycles are their Mercedes. All this only shows how well educated they are. Would be the Portuguese a bit more Dutch and we will not have the present crisis, living above our possibilities.

In the night I had a very interesting chat with Luis about all that handicaps in Portugal. The way to surpass this crisis it looks difficult but nothing is impossible.

In Dutch be a Dutch

In the Netherlands act as a Dutch, this was our motto. No, I am not speaking about smelling cannabis or going through the old history related with the liberation of the sex that this country enjoys, I am instead speaking about leaving the shoes at home and the car outside and just grab a bike and adventure through the flat roads joining the extensive cycling community that crowds all the land, and releasing a special beautiful spirit. Today we went to a farm nearby to meet the local animals, the kids were all very happy and we even more :)

Meanwhile Justyna has been told last night about the mark for her last essay and it was again very positive, So we all had a very good night sleep.

Hallo gaat goed?

There we are finally in Holland, it past only one day but we all feel already settled here, Olivia looks an old friend of Francisco and Rodrigo and also of the twins, even if those are not too old to be old friends. She is enjoying the new environment and learning how to play with her peers. Meanwhile we are having a great time, relaxing with Luis and Carla.

Looking for the Summer

The last day before Holidays reserved us a very wet and cold day, I know that if we are look for a dry holidays Holland is not the best place to go, but hopefully will be better than here. Here the Summer has been as usual in the last years, very Winter. It is true, it is not yet Summer but not Winter as well. The day was to say good bye to friends and to pack our stuff. Olivia is very excited with the trip in the Train, The Eurostar will take us to Brussels and from there Luis will pick us up and bring to his house in Gouda, The land of the cheese.

Mr Bean

Here Mr Bean is living his quiet life somewhere in the North of London, Because of the spoor of the chemotherapy he is more clumsy than ever, Olivia looks like an adult when comparing to this child in adults body. He is a troglodyte when he moves, a clown how he dresses and finally a caveman when he speaks. Each sentence needs to be re-weighted thousand times to not come out any absurd mistake.

The biggest concern is the fact that it is in the shoulders of this specimen of a Man that relies the education of the small Olivia. The poor baby today left been feed by Mr Bean, This character looked that was feeding his small bear.

Housewarming party

We would like to inform all the friends that what I predicted and expected some time ago happened today, Our little Olivia moved out from our house, voluntarily she moved to the beside flat, If some of you would like to visit her or send any post please you will need to address to 1 chipping close instead of nr 2. her flat is not too big but it is enough for her independence, For now she does not allows us to go inside but from outside it looks very cozy and functional. It was a pleasure to be invited to her Housewarming party, a fantastic BBQ in her garden.

I cannot remember better way to celebrate the May Day or Worker's Day !
